There’s not very many places in Austin doing what Dolce Bacio does. When we sat down with the owners, Francesca and Dante, they were adamant about getting the word out on not just their truck, but their story and ingredients. They didn’t want their social media to revolve around pretty pictures of gelato, but to go further than that.
Another challenge? Dolce Bacio had previously worked with an agency that did not give them the results they were looking for. Francesca and Dante were skeptical about social media and digital marketing for their truck altogether, but entrusted us to accomplish the goal they originally wanted.
What We Cooked Up…
After in-depth research and brainstorming sessions, the Savor Social team put together a content strategy and media plan that would help Francesca tell the Dolce Bacio story, educate the community on Italian culture and gelato, and most importantly, increase organic engagement and on-site visits.
We needed to build hype around gelato in Austin, especially since there are tons of amazing dessert options around the city. We also had to tell their story in a compelling way, while also sprinkling in details about their culture, language, and recipes. Our plan of attack was focused in creative storytelling through photos, pop-ups, media outreach, influencer invitations, and videos.
With our help, Dolce Bacio was featured in various media publications, talk shows, and influential Austin blogs. Their social following on Instagram doubled over the course of just 3 months after having started working with us. Local influencers like were also invited to visit the truck.
Savor Social helped Francesca educate her audience through organic videos sharing Italian words and phrases, the ingredients and recipes behind their gelato, and her reasons for opening the truck. Our team was on-site weekly to collect regular content that succeeded in building their following. Dolce Bacio saw a rise in sales since the beginning of working with our team.
